Olinda Gibbons
Olinda is the lead photographer and face of the studio – Olinda Gibbons Photography. She’s been shooting events and taking portraits since she was in high school. She has a passion for both fashion and photography, and she loves to work with people to make them look good in front of the camera. Currently, she balances her time between shooting and finishing her B.F.A. in Fine Arts and Photography at Kean University in Union, NJ.
In her senior year of high school at East Orange Campus High School, Olinda was the lead photographer for the school yearbook. The year was like an intensive internship – photographing basketball games and school performances, meeting with busy administrators to schedule portraits, and doing fun sessions with other seniors to flesh out the book. This experience gave her a great base of knowledge which she’s been building on ever since.
Brian Rock
Brian is both an artist and an educator. At the studio, he splits time between shooting and filling the design needs of the studio. During the week, he teaches at East Orange Campus High School, in E.O., New Jersey. For years, he has been teaching his students the basic elements of photography and design, leading them through the arduous process of creating a high school yearbook.
Brian’s experience with design dates back ten years, when he spent time in college designing websites and blogs. His venture into photography is more recent, and he became a self-taught photographer after the task of creating a yearbook was laid in his lap. In addition to teaching and shooting for the studio, Brian maintains a blog and instructional website about digital photography – Digital Photography How To.
