Joel’s Fashion Shoot at Branch Brook Park

Joel was one of the models at the William Paterson Fashion Show that we shot back in March. He’s ready to make the jump from runway work to modeling, which meant it was time to work up some shots for his portfolio. Joel, Cook, and I met at Branch Brook park Saturday for what turned out to be a long photo shoot. But, four hours later, we walked away with a lotta good stuff. You can see some of the highlights, one from each outfit, above.

On a side note, Branch Brook park in Newark turned out to be a much better location that I originally envisioned. I had scouted it before and wasn’t too impressed. It was kind of plain… just trees, greenery, and nothing “pretty.” Brookdale Park, on the other hand, has a lovely flower garden. But, we found some nice places for pictures at Branch Brook – on top of the Park Ave bridge, in the tunnel underneath Park Ave, and down by the water on the south side of the park.
